David Perreten – Back to the Future

Soon to be 39-year-old organic farmer David Perreten from Feutersoey near Gstaad has been president of the Saanenland Agricultural Association since this spring, which aims to promote and safeguard the economic, political, cultural and charitable interests of the agricultural population of Saanenland. With his gray cows, which belong to the endangered breed "Rhaetian gray cattle", and his farm processing, Perreten is an exotic in Saanenland. He also stands out among Gstaad farmers with his consistent organic focus and progressive ideas. Perreten is convinced that the key to a successful future for agriculture lies in the past.
