Monika Vollmer Michel, a native of St. Gallen, is a full-blooded entrepreneur. Already at a young age, she traveled to producers in Asia for her family business, which is active in the field of promotional and souvenir articles. What she encountered there changed her mind. "I saw people being exploited, plastic products being treated with environmentally harmful dyes and toxic water being dumped into rivers. And all just so that our Swiss companies could make even more profit." She decided to work for sustainable production processes from then on. "I am firmly convinced that you can do good and make money with it," Vollmer Michel says. In 2019, she founded her own impact investing company, mv Capital AG. With her mandate as Impact Advisory Board Member, she is now also an important part of Impact Gstaad. "Impact Gstaad is a very interesting format," says Monika Vollmer Michel. "By combining the local with the global, an exciting dynamic is created. It gives us the chance to establish Gstaad as a sustainable vacation destination while bringing together influential people."
