Rather, the Saanenland could show that a mindful and responsible use of resources is possible across generations. This "lighthouse effect" is essential for Hoffmann, as it can show mankind the way to greater sustainability and social progress. Hoffmann is convinced: "If human development does not lead to greater social prosperity, we are doomed."
