Impact Circle event drives sustainable transformation

Under the motto “Sustainable Entrepreneurship – Catalyst for Change”, the Impact Circle event at the Kirchgemeindehaus in Gstaad showed how entrepreneurial innovation can have a positive ecological and social impact. André Hoffmann, member of the Impact Advisory Board, presented his new book “The New Nature of Business: The Path to Prosperity and Sustainability”, which shows ways in which economic success and ecological responsibility can be reconciled.

Impact Gstaad brings sustainability stakeholders together

“Last Friday’s Impact Circle event perfectly embodied what Impact Gstaad stands for: bringing visionary personalities together to initiate meaningful change,” said Manuel Linder, President of the Impact Gstaad Association. “The high-caliber speakers and engaging discussions showed that Gstaad is becoming an important meeting place for sustainable innovation and impact investing. We are witnessing a fundamental shift in the way leaders approach sustainability – from mere reporting to concrete implementation.”

The crowning glory of the Impact Circle event was the presentation of the prestigious Green Business Award, chaired by former Federal Councillor Doris Leuthard. New Roots, a pioneer in plant-based cheese alternatives, impressed the jury with its combination of Swiss craftsmanship and ecological innovation. Its production methods achieve a CO2 reduction of up to 60% compared to conventional dairy products. “New Roots creates ecological impact by combining innovation and tradition and demonstrates remarkable economic success,” emphasized jury president Doris Leuthard.

Other finalists included Algrano, which is revolutionizing the coffee trade with its direct marketplace platform, and Selfrag, which recovers valuable metals and minerals from waste with its innovative technology.

Over the past six years, the Green Business Award has established itself as the leading Swiss award for companies that successfully bring pioneering ecological innovations to the business world. Further information can be found here: greenbusinessaward.ch
