CorDiFio makes women's hearts beat longer
That's what it's all about
- Heart disease is the most common cause of death in women, more than all types of cancer combined.
- A study published in 2003 on women who had suffered a heart attack reported at least one symptom four weeks before their heart attack.
- CorDiFio is a digital health startup based in Zurich that focuses on global awareness and early detection of heart disease in women.
In honor of Fiorella
When Valentine’s Day is celebrated on February 14, it is a day of joy for many people around the world. Not so for Italian-born Petronela Sandulache. In 2018, her mother Fiorella died of heart disease following a misdiagnosis. This fate prompted Petronela to dedicate herself to the early diagnosis of heart disease in women after a one-year break and she founded CorDiFio. The name of the start-up is derived from the Italian “Cuore di Fio”, where Fio was the short name of her mother Fiorella.
